Con Gusto Presentamos Lft. Luis López Montoya

It is my absolute pleasure to announce that Lft. Luis López Montoya, author of El linfedema explicado, will be our next featured speaker via prerecorded video on Saturday May 4, 2019.

Pernille Henriksen, Official Lymphie Strong Inspiration Group Moderator, spearheaded this project back in March in our continued efforts to leverage emerging technologies by bringing movers and shakers in the LE community directly to our group members as speakers.  Pernille worked diligently to field, collect, and categorize the questions from our group on the amazing work of Mr. Montoya.  We thank Pernille for her forward thinking and follow through.

The value of global diversity is so critically important to me that I have been part of Spanish speaking Facebook groups for many years and try to spread events and awareness on my page. When the video dropped in my email, I jumped up from my kitchen table with my fist pumped in the air. YES! I am such a huge personal fan of @thelymphologist that I was so excited he took time out of his busy schedule to create this video for our group.

His work is simply phenomenal!

Aimed at patients with lymphedema, their relatives or health professionals who wish to enter the lymphedema to learn and understand a little more related to this disease. From its possible causes to its possible treatments.   Second edition of the first and only book dedicated to this topic that has been written, produced, edited and printed in its entirety in Mexico.   Born as a response to the worrying lack of information and education available for those affected by lymphedema, for those who might be affected or simply for those who would like to know more about lymphedema.

Lymphedema Explained via Photos

While these photos are somewhat graphic, they are equally a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the power of the ability to transform lives when a person such as Luis makes it their profession to heal others.  There is no cure for lymphedema.  However, there is a vast difference in the quality of life when reduction is achieved and maintained.
