Living Life to the Fullest

Living Life to the Fullest

This post is dedicated to everything that people with Lymphedema do to stay happy and live their life to the fullest as they manage day to day with this condition.

I’ll kick it off.

Stay Lymphie Strong

Hi, my name is Veronica. I have had LE in my right leg for 21 years, and in my left leg for 8 years. On Sundays I like to run/walk the equivalent of a 5K on a local park trail. It’s my favorite place to go, because there’s a small lake with ducks and beautiful trees. It reminds me of a park I used to go to in my hometown with my parents when my brother and I were kids. Also, on Sundays you can smell the faint hint of BBQ in the air. Ha!

Hiking with Breathtaking Views

Amy

From Amy who enjoys hiking with this breathtaking view in her sights – “I’ve had lymphedema in my right leg for a little over 3 years, and although I have stopped running, I continue to hike at least 1.5 miles per day on the mountain trails behind my house. Walking with my dog is what keeps me Lymphie Strong, and biking to work also helps keep me moving, healthy, and happy 🙂”  Gorgeous view, Amy!

Send a pic of yourself and what you like to do to Stay Lymphie Strong. Whether it’s hiking, lifting, fishing, knitting, dancing, or spending time with family, it doesn’t matter. Would love to hear about it! 👍🏽

  1. I’ve had lymphedema in my right leg for a little over 3 years, and although I have stopped running, I continue to hike at least 1.5 miles per day on the mountain trails behind my house. Walking with my dog is what keeps me Lymphie Strong, and biking to work also helps keep me moving, healthy, and happy 🙂 My profile pic on Facebook is me hiking this fall. Thanks for the space to share happy and healthy moments, Veronica!
